    BF4 server getting into loop when loading new map

    Has anybody else seen this before on their servers?
    This happens occasionally on my server.

    My server had 62 players on round end and somehow the server got into a 'loading-loop' when loading the new map. That took 3 minutes!!

    I'm pretty sure I never requested a "Round restart" and I don't believe Ultimate Map Manager ever issue a "Restart Round" command.

    Half the players disconnected of course while waiting and it went on with 31 players..

    UMM changes maplist to CQ Small because only 31 players.
    50 Minutes later: players on the server were complaining about lag and half the server got booted...
    Leaving only 16 players... LOL

    I've been noticing the second thing, not the first. Randomly i'll get 6+ players all disconnect within a second of each other.

    I have a similar, maybe the same problem.
    In some cases the server won't load the next map and players get stuck in a black screen.
    Sometimes a manual "restartRound" command solves the problem, sometimes a server restart is necessary. But this isn't something new, I had this also with previous server versions.

    yes happened to me two times already on different servers. and I don't use UMM or any round restarter. By the time I noticed it, server emptied out.

    OP: I suspect a plugin. Grep for mapList.restart in your plugins folders and find the culprit.

    Black screen/no load: this happens on our server as well, usually on Paracel Storm Conquest Large when near full. In our case, it does eventually load (last time I checked, it was over 180 seconds from onLevelLoaded to able to spawn). The only players lost were those that quit after getting tired of waiting, AFAIK. I didn't have UMM enabled at the time.
    Don't send me private messages (PMs) unless you really need privacy, like your game server password. If you just have a question or need help, post in one of the threads. It's extra work for me to answer questions and give help in private messages and no one else gets the benefit of the answer.

    Happened few times to me, and most of the times it happened while changing the next map on the procon list when there were a few seconds to go for the new map to be loaded.

    So after that, if there is less than 10 seconds to go for the next map to load, I don't bother changing it on Procon, as I can't tell if it was a coincidence or that caused those black screens (Not loading loops, simply black screen with the black "-" flashing).

    I had this this happen the other day when the map rotated and seemed to be stuck on rotating so what I did is went right into the Procon program itself and forced map change and seemed to fix the problem!

    Okay, this "could not join server" issue seems to be gone, but now we have almost every day this loading bug instead which kills the server immediately.

    My patience with this game is almost about to run out...
