How to submit your localization files in 0.3.5.0+

Hey guys, as promised a new and better way of tracking changes to localization files.

    Making Changes
    • Go to http://www.phogue.net/procon/localization/[/*:m:3hfdb6wd]
    • Login with your username password (pm'd to you)[/*:m:3hfdb6wd]
    • Rename/Delete your *.loc file[/*:m:3hfdb6wd]
    • Upload new *.loc file (maintain the files name cz.loc should always be named as such etc)[/*:m:3hfdb6wd]
    • Relax, changes will be downloaded by procon automatically =)[/*:m:3hfdb6wd]

Each author will be given a directory where they can upload localization files. You can edit/rename/delete files in this directory (familiarize yourself with the php software, it's pretty easy =)

    Tracking Changes
You can view missing keys or changes we make to the localization files at http://www.phogue.net/procon/localization/locdiff.php which will check the english localization against anything you upload. Make changes, upload and recheck =)

Please still check the forums, we may alter strings from time to time. It's rare but it may happen.

    Current English Version
You can find the latest english localization at http://phogue.net/procon/localization/au/au.loc

    New Languages/Authors
If you are a new author of a new language simply post your localization file on the forum so it can be validated by the community, then I'll set you up with an account to make changes directly to procon.

How will the changes go into procon?
In 0.3.5.0 these files will be automatically downloaded by procon when it checks for updates. You can submit changes at any time without worrying about procon releases, procon will automatically download your localization changes provided the user has "Check for updates" enabled.

Each procon release will ship with any files uploaded at the time of release.

    Other ways to submit
No submissions on the forums or codeplex will be accepted after I have pm'd each author with their username/password and this alternative is proven viable. Sooo.. no more emailing, pming, codeplex pushing, forum hunting, thread finding, localization key missing... ahhh bliss

I'll just add that you can start using this process right away, no need to wait for 0.3.5.0

wow WOW! This is great! Can't wait to try this out in the new version.

I think I've found a weird glitch on http://www.phogue.net/procon/localization/locdiff.php, it shows missing strings with lots of ? symbols between letters. :/ You can still read the string if you remove the ?'s but it's a bit difficult.

Anyway, gonna try it right now. Many thanks, Phogue, this makes everything easier.

EDIT: Test finished. Works like a charm ;D

    Great feature! (again )
Gave the se.loc an overhaul and uploaded it. And all seems to work as it should.

However.. also I see the strange symbols in the comparison page
(Not in se.loc though since it tells me its complete)
    Code:
    Line 54 g?l?o?b?a?l?.?S?q?u?a?d
Question: 0.3.4.0 doesn't DL the new loc files? Right?

nah 0.3.4.0 won't download the latest versions. I'm waaay overhauling the whole update process because it's borked at the moment. I'm trying to make it so when I fix problems or implement features everyone else will be able to use them within 10 or so minutes of it being finished and tested.. smaller updates.

I'm also home for the weekend so I've got some time up my sleeve to sort it all out.
